80. “Magic Bus” is a song by The Who that was written by Peter Townshend and Dennis Blandfor. The song is about a guy that wants to buy a bus to get to his girlfried. The song might have been inspired by the school bus purchased by author Ken Kesey, who with his friends, The Merry Band of Pranksters, used for their exploits and highlighted in Tom Wolfe’s book The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test. The bus took its’ final trip to the Woodstock in 1969 where The Who were a featured band.
