115. “Rag Doll” is a song by Aerosmith that was written by Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Jim Vallance and Holly Knight. The song was originally titled Rag Time, but a record company exec said that Rag Time meant nothing to their fan base and Holly Knight was brought in to work on the lyrics which were changed to “Rag Doll”. This song, like many of Aerosmith songs, is about sex, but may also reference Tyler’s addiction to cocaine, and his Rag Doll appearance which usually included some of his outlandish scarves.
