135. “London Calling” is a song by The Clash that was written by Joe Strummer and Mick Jones. This anti-establishment punk anthem is an apocalyptic song about how the world will end: flooding, starvation, and nuclear war. The title came from the phrase use by the BBC during WWII to start their broadcast.
